It caught the attention of Dana White who signed her to join the UFC s strawweight division in December 2014 at just 22 years old. In the course of Rose s career she has experienced periods of extremes and lows, but every times she has come out ahead. Rose fought Carla Esparza on April 15 of 2015 to win the Women s Strawweight Championship. Rose beat Esparza with a technical knockout in less than 3 minute of round One. Rose not only took home the title but she was also recognized as Fighter Of The Night. Rose was also able to make MMA history by winning this fight because she became the first woman to compete to win the title of champion in an organization that is a major one. Namajunas was able to win a few other fights. She also defeated Joanna Jedrzejczyk two times, winning her Performance Of The Night awards from UFC.
